1. Who we are

DESTINI is a private, invitation-only social club and lifestyle community based in London.

DESTINI is a trading name of Exkluse Media Ltd, registered at 45 Albemarle Street, London W1S 4JL. Exkluse Media Ltd is the data controller responsible for the personal information described in this policy.

2. Information we collect

When you apply for an invitation, we collect:

• Full name
• Age (and date of birth where we ask for it separately)
• Email address
• Mobile number
• Profession or industry
• Company and job title
• Instagram handle
• Referral information where you voluntarily supply it (referrer name, referrer Instagram handle, referral code)
• Your reason for wanting to attend DESTINI
• Your application declaration and your marketing preferences, including the date and time consent was given

We also hold, as your relationship with DESTINI develops:

• Application status (for example pending, under review, approved, declined, waitlisted)
• Event attendance and guest-list information
• Correspondence you send to us

Our hosting and infrastructure providers automatically process limited technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages requested, in server logs. Our website currently uses only strictly necessary cookies and does not run advertising, retargeting, session replay or third-party analytics tracking. If that changes, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy and our Cookie Policy.

3. Why we use your information

We may use your information to:

• Review invitation requests
• Assess suitability for DESTINI experiences
• Manage invitation approvals
• Maintain event guest lists
• Communicate application outcomes
• Send information relating to an event you have applied for or are attending
• Meet venue and security guest-list requirements
• Improve the DESTINI service
• Prevent abuse or fraudulent applications
• Send future DESTINI marketing, only where you have opted in
• Comply with legal obligations where applicable

Service and event communications relate directly to your application or to an event you have applied for or are attending. You will receive these regardless of your marketing preferences.

Marketing communications promote future DESTINI invitations, experiences and updates. We only send these where you have opted in, and you can withdraw at any time. You never need to accept marketing in order to apply or to receive information about an event you have applied for.

4. Lawful bases for processing

• Steps taken at your request. Reviewing and responding to the application you submit to us.
• Legitimate interests. Running a private members community, curating guest lists, maintaining venue and security requirements, protecting against fraudulent or abusive applications, and improving our service, balanced against your rights.
• Legal obligations. Where we must retain or disclose information under applicable law.
• Consent. Optional marketing communications by email and SMS, and any non-essential cookies should we introduce them.

Not all processing relies on consent; only the items listed above do.

5. How long we keep your information

We keep personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary. Our current retention periods, which the DESTINI team reviews periodically, are:

• Pending applications: [12 months] from submission
• Unsuccessful applications: [12 months] from the decision
• Approved attendees and member records: duration of the relationship plus [24 months]
• Historic guest lists: [24 months] after the event
• Marketing subscribers: until consent is withdrawn, then a suppression record is kept to honour your opt-out
• Legal, accounting and security records: [6 years] or as required by law

Data is deleted or anonymised at the end of the applicable period.

6. Sharing your information

We share personal information only with service providers who help us operate DESTINI (for example hosting, database, email, SMS, ticketing and venue partners), and only as far as necessary. We may disclose information where required by law or to protect our rights, our members or the public. We do not sell your personal information.

7. Storage and security

Information is stored with reputable cloud providers using access controls and encryption in transit. Administrative access is restricted and privileged credentials are held server-side only. No online system can be completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your data protection rights

• Right of access to the personal data we hold about you
• Right to rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data
• Right to erasure in certain circumstances
• Right to restrict processing in certain circumstances
• Right to object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to direct marketing at any time
• Right to data portability where applicable
• Right to withdraw consent at any time where consent is the lawful basis; this does not affect processing carried out beforehand

9. Marketing preferences

Every promotional email includes a clear unsubscribe link, and SMS messages include opt-out instructions. Withdrawing marketing consent does not delete your application or event records; your marketing preference and your application are held as separate pieces of information.
